When Are CMS-838 Medicare Credit Balance Reports Due?

A completed CMS-838 must be submitted within 30 days of the close of each calendar quarter, as follows:

Q1: On or before April 30

‍Q2: On or before July 30

‍Q3: On or before October 30

‍Q4: On or before January 30

Failure to submit this report may result in a suspension of Medicare payments and may affect your eligibility to participate in the Medicare program.
